Rebecca Ponsford, APD

Hi I'm Bec, a dietitian and nutritionist with a big love of cooking, eating and all things to do with the gut. My passion for digestive health and nutrition started all the way back in high school science class, with an assignment on a journey of what happens food travels through the digestive tract. Fast forward, and now I have supported over 400 people with digestive conditions such as IBS, coeliac disease, food intolerances and many other conditions.

I have extensive training and experience in the Low FODMAP Diet and have provided presentations to the FODMAP community, other dietitians and health professionals in Australia and globally on FODMAPs, IBS and gut health.

While I love working with the gut, I also have special interests in eating disorders and women’s health conditions. Outside of the clinic room, I'm passionate about sustainable eating i.e., eating in such a way that supports both our bodies and the environment. It’s about getting into the kitchen and combining culinary skills with nutrition knowledge to create delicious, nourishing food.
